My sister, my best friend

Ariel Nicole Lansdale, thats my sister. Not all sisters end up having a close relationship but Ariel and I were lucky. We are extremely close, we are best friends. Ariel and I weren't always so close, as we are 4 years apart. When I was younger I thought of her as the annoying younger sister that just wanted to tag along with me and my friends but as we grew older our relationship changed. I guess that would have to do with certain things that have happened in our lives but I am grateful for that. I love being able to tell Ariel everything and know that she will be caring and understandable and tell me just what I need to hear. She has been there for me through everything, breakups, friend issues, family issues and so on. We were there to lean on each other and give each other support. I hope Ariel could say the same thing about me.

Our relationship is different these days as we are both older and have gone different directions but we still try to remain close. Ariel is off at college, she goes to Fresno State (so proud of her!!) and I'm married with a family. Although we are at different stages in our lives I know that I can call her up or text her and it will be just like old times, laughing about anything and everything or having that serious conversation that we both needed to have. I love my sister and am so proud of what she has done and the way that she handles herself. She truly is a Godly woman, always striving for what God wants for her life. This summer she has the opportunity to take a mission trip to Brazil and I know that she is very excited for it. I know God will use her in an effective way in Brazil.

As many people know, Ariel has an incredible singing voice. I used to love sitting in church and listening to her sing all the specials that she used to do. Ariel also sang for mine and Corey's wedding and it was beautiful. Not many know that you would have to bribe her to sing and what would that bribe be?? Jello!! Yup, when we were younger the only way to get Ariel to sing would be to bribe her with Jello. I just wanted to write about Ariel and mine's relationship because it is very special to me. I am very blessed to have such a great relationship with my sister!!

Preach it Brother!

Literally, my brother preached it! We had the pleasure of having my brother, Derek, preach for us on Sunday. He did a great job! This was his first time preaching away from his own church and I have to say that I was a proud sister. His sermon was about faith which happened to be the theme all day on Sunday. He even jumped off the stage to prove a point. It was great! It was also nice being able to spend some time with him and my sis in law, Kim, and my nephew, Jacob, since they live so far away now. I'm glad Sadie was able to spend some time with them as well. Cousins can be so much fun and I hope that they are able to spend a lot of time together as they grow up :) My grandparents also came down to see Derek preach so we were able to spend time with them as well. It was a nice weekend of spending time with family, just sitting around talking and sharing stories.

Mirror, Mirror on the wall, Who's the fairest of them all?

My favorite graduate!!

My wonderful husband Corey graduated May 8 from Cal Baptist University with a Bachelors Degree in Communications. I could not be more proud of him! He worked extremely hard to receive this degree and the work payed off. Our family was there to watch him receive his degree. As a wife you want your husband and family to succeed and I am blessed that I was able to share this moment with him as his wife. I was also glad that Sadie was there to watch her daddy receive his degree as well (even though she won't remember and was asleep through the whole ceremony). I was so worried about Sadie getting sunburned that I lathered her in sunscreen and covered her with a hat and jacket. It seemed to do the trick because she wasn't sunburned at all. Me, on the other hand, was very sunburned but it was ok. I love my favorite graduate and am so proud of him!!!

Yummy, yummy rice cereal!

Sadie is now on rice cereal about twice a day. She was acting so hungry and wanting to eat all the time so we decided it was time to introduce rice cereal into her diet. She absolutley loves it!!! Especially when I mix apples in with it. She will eat so much of it if I would let her and grunts at me if she thinks I didn't give her enough. It's the funniest thing!!

Photo Shoot fun!

Here a few snapshots of my pretty little girl. I cant help but snap photos of her all the time, especially when she is just so STINKIN' CUTE :) Enjoy these precious pictures!!

Easter

Sadie celebrated her first Easter. It was so much fun being able to dress her up in her cute little outfit. She received two Easter baskets, one from me and one from her Grandma Margaret, filled with toys. She loved it and looked SO adorable in her Easter dress.

Auntie Kim, Uncle Derek and Cousin Jacob

A few weeks ago my brother and sis in law were down visiting her mom and Corey and I went over to visit for awhile. Kim had given Sadie a tutu for a gift and wanted to take a few pictures of her in it. Here are a few pics from the visit:
